Talk:plus size

I have a number of concerns here. For one, is it overweight, or do plus sizes include large women? [1] says a 5'8", 159 lbs model is in practically every plus-size catalog--but 5'8", 159 lbs is a BMI of 24.2, which is not considered overweight. (I suppose we're talking exaggeration and "modelling", more than a definition change.) Secondly, if it's a noun--and we don't see more plus-size--it's used almost exclusively attributively. Is it a non-comparative adjective? Lastly, it seems very frequently to be used to describe people--"a plus-sized woman"--enough to justify another sense, but that's always as an adjective.--Prosfilaes 15:47, 23 November 2010 (UTC)
