This entry suggests that 'pledger' and 'pledgor' are the same thing when in fact they are not! A 'pledger' gives a pledge, while a 'pledgor', as in a legal sense, is someone who has affirmed or attested something. I am in legal proofreading and have come across this mistake many times and came here to see if there was any reference and found the same mistake! I will make the change now.63.118.154.94 01:44, 12 January 2011 (UTC)
- 63.118.154.94 indeed edited the entry, but the edit was subsequently reverted. My edition of Black's only gives the pledgor spelling and the reversion must stand. Should 63.118.154.94 return, perhaps he/she could cite a source for his/her apparently authoritative remark. Augusta2 (talk) 22:48, 30 July 2012 (UTC)
