It’s countable, but usually the form doesn’t change: a pirozhki, three pirozhki, some pirozhki. —Stephen ^(Talk) 09:26, 18 February 2013 (UTC)

The singular pirozhok is not uncommon. The word is used in three ways, although they’re not always clearly distinct.

1. As the name of a dish, uncountable
2. As the plural of a dumpling bun
3. As the singular of a dumpling buns
