I don't have the sources at hand, but AFAIK it's a contamination. Original plegować ("pflegen") was influenced by pielęga (cognate with pielucha) & transformed into pielęgować, then pielęgnować. 195.187.108.130 16:03, 3 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
