In English, the word "philology" is connected with the study of language, linguistics. But a Polish philologist is a person who deals with both literature and language of certain nation, like England, Spain or Ancient Israel. I'd say that "językoznawca" (a linguist) would fit much better here.Kameal 20:27, 22 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

P.S. My dictionary translates philologist as philolog however. But there is something definitely unclear here to me.
