Pavone etymology

[edit]

The word cited as the Latin anscestor of Italian "pavone" is "pavonem" which I believe to be incorrect as this is the accusative form of the noun and Italian nouns almost always come from the ablative case in Latin, in this case: "pavone." I have changed the entry to reflect this but would love to know if I have it wrong if anyone knows more about this than I do. Metahemeralism (talk) 15:32, 29 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
