Chambers 1908's definition (possibly the same thing, or an older variant; perhaps used in printing rather than cooking?): "a tough paper, prepared in imitation of parchment by dipping in diluted sulphuric acid and washing with weak ammonia". Equinox ◑ 14:46, 19 August 2018 (UTC)
