- It's more likely to be an alteration of English worry. /th/ is a regional Jersey pronunciation of /r/, and <ou> gives you /w/, so although the ending is strange I guess it's a nativisation of worry. Ƿidsiþ 09:10, 13 November 2009 (UTC)
