Talk:once bitten, twice shy

In the L&S diciontary they say that cui dolet meminit, Anglice is the Latin eq. of the burnt child dreads the fire. Should it be cui dolet meminit or should the Anglice part be left in too? And wouldn't it also count as a translation of once bitten, twice shy? --BiT 12:51, 29 April 2008 (UTC)

The "Anglice" is not part of the original quote; see [1]. I don't think it's a proverb in Latin, it's just a quote from Cicero. —Angr 00:04, 27 August 2013 (UTC)
