olden time is archaic?

if "olden time" is archaic, what is the proposed "modern" alternative we should use? yes, "olden time" does sound archaic, but isn't that not only part of its charm, but also its mission, to evoke and hearken back to olden times? what are we to sing at the new year if not auld lang syne? 207.237.14.175 22:35, 6 April 2024 (UTC)
