I have found two cites of adjective usage another of use as a nominal with apparently the same meaning. DCDuring (talk) 00:36, 2 March 2019 (UTC)Reply
I have used Google Books, Scholar, BHL, and my limited access to JSTOR. There are probably more in print and possibly more in online databases I don't have access to. DCDuring (talk) 00:42, 2 March 2019 (UTC)Reply
I found one more here; it's is a bit poetic, but... - -sche (discuss) 04:45, 2 March 2019 (UTC)Reply
It is hard to be sure of the meaning from any of the cites. It is only the definitions in other dictionaries and the etymology that make me comfortable with the definition - and that only because of the usage context for the biological definitions. The "poetic" one doesn't seem supportive of the definition. DCDuring (talk) 22:39, 2 March 2019 (UTC)Reply
I think the poetic one is good enough to use; substituting in the definition works: "That I am curved downward to the soil and sedimentary rock", as if walking bent over like an old man or a child curious to see what's on the ground. - -sche (discuss) 00:37, 3 March 2019 (UTC)Reply
OK. DCDuring (talk) 00:44, 3 March 2019 (UTC)Reply
So, cited (two or three citations in the entry, one on the citations page). - -sche (discuss) 04:08, 27 March 2019 (UTC)Reply
