Rfv-sense: message. This is in Webster at nuncius with sense label "Roman and Old Eng. Law", but the sense is not OED for either spelling. Is there any evidence for either nuntius or nuncius being used in this sense as an English word? This, that and the other (talk) 04:13, 26 December 2022 (UTC)Reply

Nuntius is certainly used in English for the office in Roman/civil law, see e.g. here. But the gloss "message" is odd and I can't find any evidence for it in English, although it exists in Latin; instances I can see are obvious code-switching (e.g.). —Al-Muqanna المقنع (talk) 10:42, 26 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
