Noli me tangere: "don't touch me" or "touch me not"?
[edit]The book title "Noli me tangere" (by Jose Rizal) is often translated as "touch me not".
Wouldn't "don't touch me" be a better translation? Gronky (talk) 09:03, 4 August 2014 (UTC)
"Touch me not" is an archaic Early Modern English construction, but still widely used, and conventionally used in titles, especially when they allude to biblical verses because of the Early Modern English King James Version. --Florian Blaschke (talk) 04:48, 25 December 2022 (UTC)
