I think using the slur in the definition is probably reasonable when it's just "X-dom" like this. It would certainly not be appropriate in the definition of any other (etymologically unrelated) word. But if we are magically "not allowed" to say n-word in the definition of a word with n-word in it, we will just tediously have to repeat all the senses from n-word, I suppose.
