[edit]the "-goork" or "-gurrk" suffix indicates feminin in djadjawurrung from what I've read (see pg 171 of this PDF https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/2/27/The_aborigines_of_Victoria_-_with_notes_relating_to_the_habits_of_the_natives_of_other_parts_of_Australia_and_Tasmania_%28IA_b24885228_0002%29.pdf)- In woiwurrung gurrk or goork is "blood" - so ngamudji/ngamatji-gurrk would be white person/settler blood, not white person/settler woman.
Woman in woiwurrung is badjurr/bajor - so white/settler woman would more than likely be ngamatji/ngamudji-badjurr/bajor JakeEwings (talk) 02:59, 30 December 2024 (UTC)
