Talk:negawatt

I think the current definition is not good, because negawatt is not exactly a unit, and definitely not a unit of energy as watt is a unit of power, or energy per time. It is rather a buzzword that makes the idea of energy saving comprehensible. The quotations chosen for the entry support this opinion: in them the term "negawatt" could be replaced with the term "energy saving" without changing the meaning of the sentences (one cannot easily change "inch" to "length" in any sentence!). Thus, rather than being a unit of energy saving, negawatt is a synonym of it. Therefore, I would like to suggest a new gloss:
- A measurable reduction in power consumption achieved through energy saving measures. --Hekaheka 00:04, 24 August 2009 (UTC)
