Etymology

According to Hock's Baba Malay Dictionary (2006) ambong/ambung = a straw-basket pack of shrimp paste - which may be cognate witt the etymon of this word, but cannot be the source. Also, in Baba Malay, nasi is pronounced (and spelled) nasik. So I think we can rule out Baba Malay as a source.Sonofcawdrey (talk) 01:02, 16 November 2015 (UTC)Reply
