Translation at tobacco

[edit]

Can this word be added as a translation at tobacco? 71.66.97.228 05:51, 10 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

Yes. —Stephen (Talk) 23:15, 11 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

Does the word mean the plant, the dried leaf product, or both? 71.66.97.228 02:18, 12 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

They don’t have any tobacco plants in Diné country, so it means the stuff you smoke or chew. However, if someone saw a tobacco plant somewhere, they would probably call it this. —Stephen (Talk) 02:24, 12 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

Wouldn't the plant be called chʼil nátʼoh? 71.66.97.228 02:56, 12 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

Maybe, but never heard of it. I only know of nátʼoh. —Stephen (Talk) 05:02, 12 October 2010 (UTC)Reply
