Missing sense?

Chambers 1908 also gives "exciting murmur". I don't know how to attest this: I tried "murmurous news" and "murmurous scandal" (in case it means "exciting/causing rumours") but got no GBooks hits. Anyone? Equinox ◑ 08:59, 25 May 2018 (UTC)
