Sense 2: "Able to be motioned." I don't know what sense of "motion" is intended; the verb is usually not transitive. Equinox ◑ 00:40, 1 February 2022 (UTC)

Perhaps "capable of being (dealt with by / put to a) motion"? I find a use in the Canadian Parliament [1] and a couple of random, non-durably-archived US committee meetings [2] [3]. This, that and the other (talk) 06:36, 1 February 2022 (UTC)

I find “Doris Maldonado, Vice Chair, motioned to approve the agenda”,^[4] “Commissioner Velasquez motioned to approve all unallocated 2010 and 2011 funds”, ^[5] “Bambi motioned to enter Executive Session at 12:41 p.m. to discuss licensee complaints”.^[6] So, apparently, “to motion (a proposal)” is used with the sense of turning the proposal into a formal motion, so as to make it the subject of deliberation of some body according to its rules of order (such as after having been seconded).  --Lambiam 09:41, 5 February 2022 (UTC)
