I cannot find any support for the definition "Shortened version of Mongoloid, a person with Down's syndrome". Please provide supporting reference, or remove it. Hebrides 22:06, 5 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Then you didn’t look very hard. It’s not all that rare. For one, see the bottom of w:Mong. —Stephen 15:57, 6 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

mong#Etymology_3

[edit]

From my experience, its usage in Britain these days, it's almost never used to refer to someone with Down's syndrome (I'd also say "mongoloid" is pretty dated as a perojative). It's usually used to mean "an obnoxious or stupid person". Obviously it isn't a reliable reference, but most definitions of it on UrbanDictionary have the current usage as such. I suggest we add it, and possibly label the definition as "A person with Down's syndrome" as dated. --Inops (talk) 01:38, 13 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

Since nobody's raised any objection, I've done this. --Inops (talk) 20:39, 25 January 2015 (UTC)Reply
Really "obnoxious", and not just stupid? Equinox 20:47, 25 January 2015 (UTC)Reply
It was just a stab at adding the current slang, change it if you wish. --Inops (talk) 20:59, 29 January 2015 (UTC)Reply
