Inflection
[edit]For some discussion of the inflected forms of the German adjective, see User talk:-sche#mittel. - -sche (discuss) 22:56, 20 April 2015 (UTC)
- "The positive form (mittel) used to inflect (in mittler Nacht/in mitteler Nacht)" -- that's missing here, and of course that should be added (e.g. in case that one sees such a form in a(n older) book and doesn't get the meaning). -IP, 21:36, 26 April 2015 (UTC)
- It took some digging to find the right templates to use, but I think I've accounted for and distinguished all the modern forms and the old positive forms, the latter both with and without e. - -sche (discuss) 22:43, 26 April 2015 (UTC)
- Thanks, it's much better this way. -IP, 10:05, 28 April 2015 (UTC)

Superlative: "The superlative is also uncommon.". In older books (like 19th century) the superlative can be found, e.g. (in mathematics): "Die Entfernungen der obersten und untersten, obersten und mittelsten, untersten und mittelsten Parallelen von einander seyn p, q, g, so daß immer p = q + r." So is it just nowadays uncommon or was it also in earlier times uncommon? -IP, 20:39, 2 May 2015 (UTC)
