I've put a pronunciation section with the IPA pronunciation specified by Oxford Dictionaries [1] which seems consistant with the pronunciation I'm familiar with. Additionally, the page also has the following etymological information:
- early 16th century (as an adjective): via late Latin from late Greek maniakos, from mania (see mania)
I have absolutely no idea how to add this to the page as it's my first time editing a wiktionary page. I tried reading through the etymology page but it didn't seem to achieve much more than confusing me, so I'm leaving the information here. --121.223.243.95 15:19, 29 June 2012 (UTC)
- This is already given under maniac. This seems to be nothing but a form of that created by adding an English suffix, which is what I put in the Etymology section. Chuck Entz (talk) 23:00, 29 June 2012 (UTC)
