A Russian-derived name for Nicotiana rustica. More likely names are mapacho, Aztec tobacco, or something from Vietnamese. DCDuring TALK 22:56, 9 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

It's obviously attestable. --Anatoli T. (обсудить/вклад) 23:05, 9 November 2014 (UTC)Reply
It is not in any dictionaries. This is exactly the kind of term that cannot appear in Wiktionary without displayed attestation. We need to not be lazy about it. We need to actually provide citations. If it is so obviously attestable you could have easily done so, without relying on examples in which it appears in French running text, is capitalized, italicized, embedded in quotation marks, embedded in speech asking about the meaning of the word, etc. DCDuring TALK 23:37, 9 November 2014 (UTC)Reply
I thought you have provided the citations, no? Giving citations is not my forte, since I'm not usually adding citations to words, it's about being lazy (I'm quite active, am I not?). I've just made the entry. If the current citations are not sufficient, someone, please add. --Anatoli T. (обсудить/вклад) 23:50, 9 November 2014 (UTC)Reply
Re: It is not in any dictionaries. In Merriam-Webster: [1]: "a coarse tobacco (Nicotiana rustica) grown especially in the Ukraine". Not sure, why the dictionary mentions only Ukraine. --Anatoli T. (обсудить/вклад) 23:53, 9 November 2014 (UTC)Reply
OneLook didn't show it. A paywall prevents me from seeing it online. IOW, we should probably pull the MW link, which doesn't work for most. I didn't look in my hardcopy MW2 or MW3. DCDuring TALK 00:03, 10 November 2014 (UTC)Reply
Yeah, feel free to remove it. I was able to see it (from Google searches) but when converted to link, it's not opening. --Anatoli T. (обсудить/вклад) 00:12, 10 November 2014 (UTC)Reply
It's in my dead-tree MW3. —Aɴɢʀ (talk) 00:57, 10 November 2014 (UTC)Reply
Hmm. Do I cause you problems? --Anatoli T. (обсудить/вклад) 01:24, 10 November 2014 (UTC)Reply
Yes. Whenever I get annoyed at you I turn out to be wrong. So stop it. DCDuring TALK 01:43, 10 November 2014 (UTC)Reply
What exactly should I stop doing? Are you just bullying me? I have my reasons why I don't normally do citations, should I explain them to all? Thanks for fixing the entries and adding info but I was wrong about asking you for help. I don't need to be told off. --Anatoli T. (обсудить/вклад) 01:51, 10 November 2014 (UTC)Reply
I'm sorry Anatoli. I was annoyed at "It's obviously attestable.", but you make good points, which I accepted.
With my next two postings I was trying to be "funny". I thought that the " I " would be a giveaway. I thought that in "Whenever I get annoyed at you I turn out to be wrong. So stop it.", I meant the first sentence as a kind of humorous admission that I was wrong, and the second as a bit of self-parodying petulance. "Humor" doesn't work so well for me on the net. DCDuring TALK 02:47, 10 November 2014 (UTC)Reply
Ah, OK, sorry for not getting it. :) Apology accepted and thanks again for improving the entries. --Anatoli T. (обсудить/вклад) 02:55, 10 November 2014 (UTC)Reply
Just to be thorough:here, here, here, here and here are enough cites for CFI. There are lots and lots more. Chuck Entz (talk) 01:36, 10 November 2014 (UTC)Reply
