That which makes (one's day, etc.)?

[edit]

Interesting use spotted in Stephen King, extending a phrase of the "make one's day" kind:

  • 1990, Stephen King, The Moving Finger
He supposed that having a hallucination was better than seeing a real finger poking out of the drain of the bathroom basin, a finger that was alive and moving around, but it wasn't exactly an evening-maker, either.
