Hello, in french

while rombo is quite commonly used in italian & spanish, "rhombus" is now used only by mathematicians, naturalists (for some fishes and a conus) & ethnologists (for bullroarers), & (even for our sports dithyrambic newsmen & dishevelled commentators) Renault is always "la marque au losange" (the lozenge brand) , never "la marque au rhombe".

As for "losange" in french as a small flat (sometimes medicinalwise) sweet, I think it is nowadays quite obsolete : the little black hard teeth-sticking liquorice pastilles have widely given way to tic-tacs...Not to speak of the (so bitter-sweet and so tongue-yellowing that my mother had to hide them away) Mepacrine losanges, not heard of since the '50s...T.y.
