Liquification is the conversion of a gas to a liquid. Liquefaction IS NOT the same thing! Liquefaction is the phenomenon where an earthquake causes sandy soil and water to become liquid due to the motion of the quake. They are NOT alternative forms of the same word!
They are not interchangeable!
