I wanted to complete the wiktionary with this word, used in canonical law, but someone on the IRC channel Freenode #gaygeeks were telling me this word didn't exist in the Oxford English Dictionary, so couldn't be considered as valid, so I double checked the admission criterias. The conveying meaning inclusion criteria is filled; the attested criteria is more debatable: I'm not sure this qualifies as clearly widespread use. --Dereckson (talk) 16:43, 24 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

"someone on the IRC channel Freenode #gaygeeks were telling me this word didn't exist in the Oxford English Dictionary, so couldn't be considered as valid" that's total bull, our aim isn't simply to copy the OED. The OED is already doing a perfectly good job of being the OED. Mglovesfun (talk) 19:10, 24 January 2013 (UTC)Reply
I wonder if it's even true. Does anyone here have access to the OED who can check whether or not it includes liceity? —Angr 19:23, 24 January 2013 (UTC)Reply
It's true that they don't have it. Furius (talk) 19:53, 24 January 2013 (UTC)Reply
Cool. If we can get two more cites on the page and a pronunciation, I think it should be WOTD sometime. Nice to show off what we can do that not even the OED does. —Angr 20:55, 24 January 2013 (UTC)Reply
