In English lexic is an erroneous form of lectic.
Anglocentrists (Anglophiles, here not the meaning of politically centrists) support that non-archaic etymologies are equally correct.
- Mmmm, i can imagine that people used to say that dyslexic was a mistake for the now-rare dyslectic. Just because -x- won out in one word doesnt mean it needs to win out in all of them .... look at the tangle of etymologies involving -opia and -opsia for example .... it might help if we can get a clearer definition of what lexic actually means in English. If it's meant to relate to dyslexia, hyperlexia, and similar conditions, I would think the x spelling would be accepted now. If it's related to mathematics or something else, then I would think ct would be predominant. Or there might be both spellings in use with overlapping meanings. —Soap— 11:44, 29 September 2023 (UTC)
