Unlike the other senses, at let down, this is let#Verb + down#Adverb in a physical, literal sense. DCDuring TALK 18:31, 25 June 2013 (UTC)

- The "most common English meaning" is purely SoP, and is therefore covered by the first sense - "see let, down". bd2412 T 01:25, 5 July 2013 (UTC)

- A lot of well-known dictionaries disagree, including Merriam-Webster and define the word let down as "to allow to descend gradually " or "to allow someone or something to move to a lower position". It's a common English verb, even if its meaning can be guessed from its constituents, especially by fluent English speakers. --Anatoli (обсудить/вклад) 01:49, 5 July 2013 (UTC)
- Keep the sense, whether as a translation target or because of a hint from other dictionaries mentioned by Anatoli; for reference see “let down”, in OneLook Dictionary Search.. --Dan Polansky (talk) 18:34, 10 July 2013 (UTC)
