Lanzon

@DCDuring I'm not sure if the word lanzon is still in use. It has always been lanzones to me. Even the Wikipedia article does not mention lanzon. Carl Francis (talk) 13:23, 20 December 2017 (UTC)

If you think it is worth it you could RfV it. I relied on the other dictionaries that have it. In addition, if the word was ever in use in the singular, we would want the singular entry. Ie, we are a historical dictionary. We could also put a usage note in the singular entry to note that it is no longer used in the singular. If use of the singular even in the past was not common we could put more of the content in the plural entry. DCDuring (talk) 16:40, 20 December 2017 (UTC)

The singular form is definitely attestable and still in use currently. The plural is more common, apparently. This is not unusual among nouns in English. In addition the singular form is used in attributive constructions such as lanzon tree and lanzon fruit. DCDuring (talk) 16:53, 20 December 2017 (UTC)
