Icelandic
[edit]land
-Land does not mean earth.. Or I'm pretty sure of so. I didn't want to change this in case I'm wrong. But I'm not. Please change this.. Or correct me. Z777 20:37, 23 December 2008 (UTC)
- The Icelandic term land means "earth" in the same sense as "land" or "ground"- it does not mean Earth as in the planet though. --BiT 05:48, 31 December 2009 (UTC)

Not an adjective. PUC – 11:20, 7 November 2020 (UTC)

- Delete. Any multi-word noun containing this is actually an open compound. Evidence for that is that this "adjective" cannot be used predicatively; that is, a construction like *"snail that is land" would not be an even remotely correct replacement for "land snail". Glades12 (talk) 13:31, 7 November 2020 (UTC)
- Agreed, delete as an adjective. The attributive sense can be added to the noun, and the translations moved there rather than lose them completely. DonnanZ (talk) 12:26, 13 November 2020 (UTC)
- Delete. Agreed with all arguments above, if this sense were included then every noun in an open compound would also be an adjective. Rauisuchian (talk) 19:10, 30 November 2020 (UTC)
- Strictly speaking, RFV would be the forum for checking for adjectival citations, but rather than get hung up on bureaucratic hurdles: delete unless adjectival citations are (later) brought forward. - -sche (discuss) 10:49, 9 December 2020 (UTC)
