It says Labouratory is an alternate forme of Laboratory, but then when you click on it it says it is a misspelling of it.

Pronunciation

Could it ever be pronounced [ˈlæ.bɹə.tɹi]? That is, with the more American stress, but the more European pronunciation of -ory? I think I may have heard it (in Britain), but I'm not sure.

It definitely can. I always simply say ‘lab’ but on rare occasions, for example when reading the full word out loud, I put the stress on the second syllable but there are certainly other people here in England who say it that way. laboratory experience

Some kind of educational thing. It's defined in Jonathon Green's Newspeak (1984) as "any situation at which pupils are present for the purpose of instruction or observation". Equinox ◑ 02:50, 9 January 2020 (UTC)

Looser educational sense?

I believe that in the context of university classes, a "lab" (also "laboratory", but usually shortened) can be any kind of interactive/hands-on pedagogical experience, not necessarily involving an actual laboratory or scientific experimentation, e.g.: [1][2]. I doubt very much that either of these examples involve "A room, building or institution equipped for scientific research, experimentation or analysis."
