Sorry I am hungarian, and have never met a sentence like "ott van la!". We have a similar sentence with the same meaning, but it sounds "ott van na!". We are using the "la" word when we imitate singing for example a really little child, but in that case it sounds "la-la", or "lá-lá" but it doesn't have any more meaning.— This unsigned comment was added by Maszkaa (talk • contribs) at 17:45, 10 September 2008.

English "la"
[edit]It can also be just used as generic sound for music, e.g. "The song goes: la la la..." Tooironic 06:56, 8 November 2009 (UTC)
