Interlingual perhaps? --Connel MacKenzie 19:28, 13 Jun 2005 (UTC)
- No, both Km and h are abbreviations of English words - therefore an English abbreviation. SemperBlotto 19:39, 13 Jun 2005 (UTC)
- It is indeed Translingual (now, of course, entered in the proper form as km/h without a capital initial letter), in standard, worldwide symbols, used to some extent at least even languages which do not use the Roman alphabet. In Roman alphabet languages, km is the standard symbol for Italian chilometro, for example. And if it's anything, it has more to do with them being the French abbreviations than with being the English abbreviations, since French remains the only "official" language of the CGPM and BIPM, the organizations which established this international standard. Whoa! I don't think we allow translation tables in non-English sections. --Μετάknowledgediscuss/deeds 21:38, 15 August 2012 (UTC)
