"Definition for kiss up: to pay false flattery to another, particularly a superior at work, in order to get special attention"
I do not feel the term "pay false flattery" is 100% accurate here. I do not believe it has to be FALSE in order to kiss up. Someone could just pay true, but a lot of flattery unnecessarily for it to be kissing up. The false flattery makes it sound like the person is lying and I believe that is not always the case. Sorry but I just think the wording here is inaccurate.
