Missing UK slang sense

Circa 1970s/1980s this was British playground slang for a mentally retarded person, because of a TV programme about Joey Deacon that was widely shown in schools. The same might be true of Deacon. I can see a handful of mentions on Usenet "joey+deacon"+"joeys"#!search/%22joey$20deacon%22$20%22joeys%22 but no actual uses. Equinox 03:51, 30 December 2017 (UTC)Reply
