Existence

"jablo" could be a modernized spelling of "gablo" meaning "apple", jablko. Using this search, I found it in one dictionary (Česko-Nemecky slovnik by Josef Franta Šumavský)[1] and in Srovnávací mluvnice jazyka českého a slovenského by Martin Hattala. By searching for "jablo", "jabla", "gablo", "gabla" ("g" is for obsolete orthography), I did not find any attesting quotations. google books:jablo jablko and google books:gablo gablko find multiple sources declaring the existence of Czech or Old Czech "jablo" or "gablo" (mentions), but we have no attesting quotations. "gablo" is in Slownik česko-německý by Josef Jakub Jungmann[2]. Don't the refs suffice? They are from the site of SAZU (w:Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Arts). The second one is from a web edition of a 19th century dictionary by w:sl:Maks Pleteršnik, AFAICT. --biblbroks_{дискашн} 21:03, 5 July 2014 (UTC)

Not in this case. Slovene is not an LDL so we need three real citations of usage. But we probably won't find any because this is a dialectal term that would not likely be used in published texts. —CodeCat 21:06, 5 July 2014 (UTC)

Re: "We all know what RFV is for.": As you can see, many people have a poor idea of RFV. Nothing wrong with being clear and explicit so that even newbies can know what is going on, which you call "overly formal". --Dan Polansky (talk)

I didn't post "asking to verify the pronunciation", I know the pronunciation in Sallaands and Twents differ (I was born less than 1 kilometre from the huus/hoes-isogloss). I asked for verification of the "Usage note".
