Talk:it's better to ask forgiveness than permission

Can this also mean "to deliberately neglect asking for a permission [despite it's being required by a law, a regulation &c] in the hope that it will be granted retroactively"? This is how I always understood it but maybe I misinterpreted it. --Droigheann (talk) 06:06, 22 February 2020 (UTC)
