Pseudo-Hispanism?

@Santiago Claudio I saw your recent edits, and there's a reason why I placed it as a pseudo-Hispanism.

1. It's not found in any Tagalog/Pilipino/Filipino dictionaries, so it's a relatively newly invented word.
2. The word in Spanish iniciativo exists as an adjective, but not as a noun. I know it shows in the Spanish entry in Wiktionary that it's also a noun, but I think it's wrong. If you look at Spanish dictionaries, "iniciativo" is the adjective. "Iniciativa" is the noun. That's why the Spanish entry in iniciativo may be false.

Regardless, given that the correct word for "iniciative" in Spanish is iniciativa, and the word you find in Tagalog dictionaries is inisyatiba, that's very big evidence that "inisyatibo" is Tagalog speakers trying to make the English word "iniciative" into Tagalog by making it Spanish-sounding, without knowing the Spanish word iniciativa. --Mar vin kaiser (talk) 07:05, 22 May 2022 (UTC)
