Rubbish! Quite the opposite, in fact: "The fact or condition of existing in something; inherence." is how the OED phrases it. Whatdya fink of dat, eh?!

Thanks for noting the deficiency in the entry. I have taken the liberty of removing the cut-and-paste from the online OED, since the online edition of the OED is in copyright (of course, the quotations themselves are not copyrighted, if they can be independently verified.) -- Visviva 07:14, 9 December 2008 (UTC)Reply
