1.  Quality of being individual.

[edit]

I've never seen the term individualness before this page.  My first thought was, "Do we not already have a page for individuality?"  But then I thought, "Well, maybe individualness is a non-standard synonym for individuality"—yet, upon inspection, I see that neither page claims the other as a synonym, and the definition that appears on this page is, although similar to the first definition on the individuality page, not on that page.

So, I took a look at the definitions of peaceability and peaceableness for comparison.  The definitions there bear similarity to one another (not surprisingly), but whereas the former is defined as a quality, the latter is defined as a state.

Maybe this is picking hairs, but if we apply the same logic to the present situation, it would seem to imply that we should (A) move this definition (i.e., "Quality of being individual") to the individuality page and (B) replace the definition here with "The state of being individual."

But, maybe that is picking hairs.  Maybe, instead, we should simply (A) move this definition (i.e., "Quality of being individual") to the individuality page and (B) replace the definition here with "(non-standard) Individuality."

Personally, I think this latter suggestion is best, but I wanted to see what the Wiktionary community as a whole thinks of the suggestion.

Cheers,
