- If you mean the lack of an article, it's covered in the usage notes at bed. "get into the bed" is still correct but little used, and might imply an unusual situation, such as if the listener were sitting straight up and alert but with their lower body partly under the covers. —Soap— 02:16, 9 December 2022 (UTC)
