Il y a How it can be "there is"
If we break "IL Y A". It will be Il = He y = y a = has
Can any one explain.
- il (“it”) + y (“there”) + a (“has”), literally “it has there ...”. Wyang (talk) 12:45, 6 July 2017 (UTC)
- Existence and possession are close in West European languages, such as there is a swing in the park and the park has a swing. In French, existence is expressed by a possessive construction with an expletive subject il, which has no referent. — TAKASUGI Shinji (talk) 15:33, 6 July 2017 (UTC)
