citation for "a story by Francis Bacon"
[edit]On 2024-04-23, I read herein:
- An ellipsis (anapodoton) of the apocryphal phrase "if the mountain won't come to Muhammad, then Muhammad must go to the mountain," coined in a story by Francis Bacon.
Could someone please provide a complete citation, indicating which story by Francis Bacon and where in the ?
Bacon is acknowledged as having been a towering intellect and prolific author, who died in 1621. Thus, none of his works should be under copyright and should be available. Thanks, DavidMCEddy (talk) 08:29, 23 April 2024 (UTC)
