This appears to be something of a nonce. I don't really know if it means what User:Widsith defines it as in the quote in the entry, as I don't have much context. When I looked on Google Books, there was one use in something X-files-related that supported a sense "study of toxins found in fish", and then a few uses that seemed to be translations from Slavic languages supporting a wholly different sense. —Μετάknowledgediscuss/deeds 18:31, 22 November 2017 (UTC)

- I don't think so. 1965 and the X-files quote that I mentioned above seem to be for a different sense, "the study of toxins found in fish". —Μετάknowledgediscuss/deeds 01:19, 23 November 2017 (UTC)
- Given that the "ingredient" in the quote is a "puffer fish", I would say it's about a toxic fish, not a substance toxic to fish. Kiwima (talk) 03:19, 23 November 2017 (UTC)
- Yes, my definition was not great – clearly it's more accurate to say that it's the study of toxins found in fish, rather than of the toxic fish themselves. I've merged the two definitions. Ƿidsiþ 05:26, 23 November 2017 (UTC)
