This seemed like a duplicate of the primary definition, and isn't written in appropriate dictionary style.

  1. An assemblage of fossil traces representing the activities of an association of living organism. Possibly being also referred to as a palaeoichnocoenoses, which means an assemblage of trace fossils, showing evidence of an assemblage of formerly living organisms, some of which may have left no other fossil evidence of their existence.
