díłchʼil

[edit]

Does díłchʼil (dense) have anything to do with chʼil (vegetation)? 71.66.97.228 20:18, 30 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

The only way to know would be to check in Robert W. Young’s "Analytical Lexicon of Navajo" to see if both instances of chʼil are the same stem or not. —Stephen (Talk) 22:40, 30 April 2011 (UTC)Reply
Yes, it does! Young and Morgan also say chʼil is probably related to the verb stem -chʼííł, "curl". Ewweisser (talk) 21:07, 16 April 2012 (UTC)Reply
