The entry reads:

" hoaxster (plural hoaxsters)

Alternative form of hoaxer (rare)"

BUT: Google's Ngram Viewer shows that every year since 1985 there have been more than 30 times as many occurrences of HOAXER as of HOAXSTER.

Likewise, with just plain googling, there 8 times as many instances of "hoaxer" as of "hoaxster".

These results strongly suggest that the quoted claim (that HOAXER is "rare" and "HOAXSTER" more common) is seriously in doubt.108.245.209.39 23:35, 3 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

The organization of the definition was a little weird. Obviously since it's an altform it is rarer than the lemma hoaxer. I've fixed it. —Aryaman (मुझसे बात करो) 00:23, 4 October 2017 (UTC)Reply
