I went to the Medieval Nordic Text Archive, switched to "Basic search", and entered "hester". There were no results. If anyone can recommend another corpus or examples of Middle Norwegian texts then maybe I can quote it (or they can do so on their own). 98.170.164.88 23:42, 12 May 2022 (UTC)

Okay, I found these uses from 1350–1550 through Diplomatarium Norvegicum:

• [2] (1358, Oslo): þer med ein hest eit par vapn þet bestæ sem han atte vm Ansteins lifdagha en eftir fra fal Ansteins þa skal fallæ jerdir vapn ok hester after vndir Eilif eðr hans rettæ erfingiæ ok til sannyndæ settom mit okor jnsigli firir þetta bref er gort var deghi ok are sem fyr seghir.
